Our Proven Process begins with a critical first step in any renovation project: learning about your renovator and having them learn about you, your needs and your existing home. In the 4th video of our series, Amsted President Steve Barkhouse explains how we take this first step.
We’ll come and meet you at your home to see first-hand what you’re trying to achieve and why. Your Project Coordinator will listen, take notes and look at your home’s structure and systems so that we clearly understand your goals and vision and can make informed recommendations for your project.
We also provide a package for you to keep that includes:
- Testimonials from past clients
- Insurance and WSIB certificates
- Better Business Bureau and GuildQuality ratings
- RenoMark, Tarion and LEED certifications
Once all of this is done, we create a personalized Project Development Agreement (PDA). The PDA details the next steps in our process, ensuring everyone is on the same page when it comes to what we will deliver, the timeframe and the costs associated to move forward with the design.
With this all-important first step achieved, we are then well-positioned for a successful renovation process.
