Project Manager
What do you do?
I’m a project manager and manager of expectations.
Fave project?
Faith Lutheran Church. It was a large challenge during the winter months and we had to have the church back to the client in time for Good Friday. An excellent client made for a fun job.
Away from work I…
Enjoy long distance running and hanging out with my three children watching movies.
Fave project in your own home?
The garage. It has a tread mill and exercise equipment and a granite work table. And my tools are all organized, of course.
Best part about working at Amsted?
Working with others who are proud to work for a great company.
Allyson W.
Lead Carpenter
What do you do?
My role as a lead carpenter at Amsted is to “lead” my job to completion. This involves client care, staff and sub-trade scheduling and supervision, trim carpentry, apprenticeship training, and much more.
Fave project?
I’ve been with Amsted since May 2001 and have been involved in hundreds of projects. It would be hard to pick a favourite as I have many great memories.
Away from work I…
Foster unwanted dogs with my partner. We also love gardening in the summer and working on projects at home.
Fave project in your own home?
It’s a toss-up between the kitchen and the pool/deck/hot tub gazebo.
Best part about working at Amsted?
The opportunity that Steve gave me years ago when women weren’t being hired as carpenters in the renovation industry. I’ve had an opportunity to work with and learn from some very talented carpenters.
Nathan D.
Project Coordinator & Sales Manager
What do you do?
My job is to listen to my clients’ needs and manage my resources to come up with solutions that make sense to them.
Fave project?
I really enjoyed a Kanata whole home project where the process ensured that all stakeholders, including the homeowners, were on task. We finished this project a week ahead of schedule and the clients were elated.
Away from work I…
Like to coach, train and motivate youth through sports.
Fave project in your own home?
I’ve flipped a number of homes and it is always my kitchen. It has to flow through to our entertaining area to bring everyone together.
Best part about working at Amsted?
Integrity and professionalism from an entire team. You can count on everyone going that extra mile to make a project a success.
