Amsted Recognized as a Finalist for Inaugural Award

Posted November 23, 2016

Amsted is proud and honoured to share that we have been named a finalist for the inaugural Canadian Contractor Outstanding Renovator & Custom Homebuilder Award!

The award was introduced this fall by Canadian Contractor Magazine, Canada’s leading magazine for the residential construction industry. With a focus on companies as a whole rather than specific projects, this award highlights the leading business philosophies of renovators and builders from across the country. In its first year, the award had applications from 18 companies, and Amsted was thrilled to have been named one of only four finalists.

Amounting to 15 pages in its entirety, the ORCHA application delved into all areas of an applicant’s business. Asking of the company’s history, mission, growth, size, customers, competition, local industry, team, trade partners, human resource practices, community and industry involvement, innovation, and diversification, ensured judges had a well-rounded picture of the company and its business practices. Adding to that, applicants were also required to submit references that would be called to confirm the authenticity of the statements, and provide a true picture of the customer experience.

Amsted was honoured by those who agreed to submit their contact information as a reference. Including both clients who had worked with us recently, and for several projects over the past few years, we sincerely appreciate your contribution to our application and our continued success.

As the award recognized the culmination of our business over the past 26 years, we would be remiss if we did not thank all of our customers – past and present – including our wonderful clients, valued partners and awesome team members. As always, we partner with you in this achievement!

The award will be presented in Toronto at the annual Reno Focus Awards Gala, held on Monday, November 28th.
